A Thorough Guide to Coach Bags
Established in 1941, Coach originally produced men’s small leather goods, while women’s handbags arrived later before becoming the core of the brand. Today the range of coach handbags takes in firm shoulder bags, slouchy hobos, satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and reissues from the archive. This walkthrough takes each key line in turn, covering what the bag is, when it appeared and how it is made. A number of popular lines have no reliable launch year on record, so launch dates appear here only where they are documented.
Instead of coming from an official price list, the prices below are observed market prices from 2026, and size, material and promotions all affect them. Similar names can point to completely different designs, a point worth remembering if you are choosing your first coach bag. When searching for a Coach bag, some buyers type “couch bag” in error, and as the word also refers to a sofa, furniture pages can appear in the results.
The Tabby Family
Built as a structured shoulder bag with detachable straps and Signature “C” hardware, the Tabby converts easily to crossbody wear. Drawing on a form from Coach’s 1970s archive, the design was introduced by Stuart Vevers in 2019. The photographer Juergen Teller is reported to have shot the launch campaign, “Dream It Real”. The core product name is Tabby Shoulder Bag, and sizes 20, 26 and 36 have been offered.
The padded Pillow Tabby followed in 2021, listed under names such as Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 With Pillow Quilting. In the US the Tabby 26 was observed at $475, and in the UK at £475; quilted and special-edition versions sat higher. The easy switch between shoulder and crossbody wear makes it a good fit for buyers who want one bag for both day and evening.
Brooklyn
The Brooklyn is a relaxed coach shoulder bag in natural-grain leather, more akin to a hobo than to the structured Tabby. Having appeared on the Fall 2024 runway, it launched in August 2024. Reports so far point to two main sizes: the Brooklyn 28 and the roomier Brooklyn 39. Descriptions of the 39 call it large enough for a 15-inch laptop, coach store so it makes a practical work bag.
A newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was reported for Spring 2026, and it is a different bag from the shoulder styles. At John Lewis in the UK, the Brooklyn 28 had an observed price of £350. When The RealReal’s 2025 resale report said searches for Coach had jumped 160%, the Brooklyn was among the bags it named, though that figure reflects searches rather than resale prices.
Rogue
Designed with top handles and a shoulder strap, the Rogue is Coach’s structured satchel. It made its debut on the Fall 2016 runway, was later discontinued and returned in a 2021 relaunch. With versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins, the line stands at the very top of Coach’s leather range. The top Coach bag price observed in 2026 belonged to a Rogue 25 in alligator, observed at $8,000.
A Made-to-Order Rogue is also offered by Coach, and the process has reportedly taken roughly 12 weeks, stretching to roughly 16 weeks with exotic materials. By way of Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own resale and repair program, restored Rogue bags have also appeared. For a lot of collectors, the Rogue demonstrates how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship can go.
The Empire Carryall Line
The Empire Carryall is an elongated, east-west top-handle bag identified in listings as the Empire Carryall Bag 34. Its release came in February 2025, following its appearance on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway. It sold out on release day, fashion press reported. Softer variants called Soft Empire, including a Soft Empire 40, are distinct styles from the structured Carryall 34.
On Coach’s own UK website, the Empire Carryall 34 was observed at £475. Thanks to its long top-handle shape, it serves as a smarter alternative to a coach tote bag for daily carrying. Anyone comparing listings should confirm the number after the name, since 34 and 40 are different bags.

Kisslock Variants Compared: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel
Coach ties the Kisslock motif to the Bonnie Cashin era; the name refers to a frame clasp modeled on vintage coin purses. Take care not to mix up the several bags that share the word. Observed at $350, the Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather was reported as the opening look of the Fall 2026 show. Earlier Kisslock Frame versions also appear in listings, so the family may be older than that show.
The Kisslock Dreamer 21, with quilted nappa leather and rivets, is an older style now seen mainly as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved. For Spring 2026, Coach Originals revived a 1973 design as the Kisslock Barrel Bag. The name gained yet another use after a Kisslock Backpack was also shown for Fall 2026.
The Swinger, the Swing Zip and The Coach Originals
Consisting of newly made reissues of archive designs, The Coach Originals is a line of bags that are new rather than vintage. A short-strap, zip-top shoulder bag with a turnlock, the Swinger comes from an original design that Coach places in 1987. Today’s version is the Swinger Bag 20, which also comes With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard. Modeled on a 1998 design, the Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag, which means the two names cannot be used interchangeably.
Other Originals reported in early 2025 took in the Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005. The Coach Originals name was reportedly already being used by 2020. The line suits buyers who want an archive look without the wear of a genuinely vintage piece.
Soho Decoded: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker
Soho is one of the most easily confused names in the Coach catalog as the name spans three different products. The original Soho Flap dates from 2006. Produced in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard, the Soho Bag 25 is a smaller, newer reissue rather than that 2006 bag. A Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather has also been listed, and Soho styles sit within The Coach Originals.
The Soho Sneaker, by contrast, is footwear that Coach has highlighted in 2025 and 2026, so it groups with shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. To separate the bags from the shoe, add “Bag 25” or “Flap” to a search. Look at Coach’s own website before buying, as no reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured.
Willow, Cassie and Juliet Side by Side
These three lines are well known, but none has a documented launch year, so view any date you see online with caution. Made in pebble leather, the Willow family has included the Willow Tote 24, a Willow Bucket and a Willow Shoulder bag. The Willow Tote 24 is a straightforward example of a coach tote bag, while Coach’s own website has also listed a Custom Willow Tote. The Cassie Crossbody Bag 19, fitted with a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps, sits within Cassie, a crossbody and top-handle design.
Using newer style codes, Cassie styles have stayed listed on Coach’s own website. Cut from glovetanned leather, Juliet is a soft, slouchy shoulder bag with versions such as the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30. Before relying on an older review, verify whether a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current, because availability changes by season.
All the Lines at a Glance: Observed Prices
Line by line, the table below sets out the shape, the key date and, where one was reliably captured, an observed 2026 price. Rather than an official Coach price list, these are observed market prices that can vary with size, material, color and promotions. UK prices include VAT, but US prices exclude sales tax. In sale periods, full-price styles can be marked down; a coach outlet, for its part, runs its own promotions on outlet styles.
Outlet shops and an official online outlet section on Coach’s own website together make up Coach Outlet, and this is Coach’s own official channel. Around 85% of outlet merchandise was made specifically for the outlet channel, going by a 2014 quote from Coach’s head of investor relations. That figure is somewhat dated, and Tapestry has since discussed bringing some full-price collection product into outlets. A full-price coach store or Coach’s own website remains the place to look for current-season lines.
